SECTION 4 RACE PROCEDURES 1. FLAG RULES are defined in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Rule Book. 2. Any drivers may race in any classes on the same night if the driver has a valid NASCAR license for those classes. Drivers racing in more than one class will purchase a pit pass for all classes racing in that night. 3. All cars must be in the pit area, available for pre race inspection, no later than 15 minutes before the posted start time of the first race of the night. 4. Late Model starting order will either be determined by qualifying. The race direct will set the show if necessary. In the event not able to qualify, the starting order will be determined by track point’s standings.
All cars used in the second race of a Twin race event must have started, or otherwise been scored in, the first race of a Twin race event. Any driver starting the second race of a Twin race event in a different car than that driver started in the first race will start the second race at the rear of the field.
In the event of duplicate qualifying times, the qualifying position shall be determined by the current track point standings, with the driver having the most track points qualifying in front of the other. If driver track point standings do not prevail (the first race of the season or a special event), the driver setting the duplicate time first would qualify in front of the other. In the event of duplicate numbers in special events where track points do not prevail, Ace Speedway Officials reserve the right to assign number changes at their discretion. 5. Any cars that qualify will be required to run their race on the tires that they qualify on. 6. Divisions not qualifying starting line-up will either be determined by draw at race night registration sign in office of all the drivers.
In any Twin race event, the winner of the first race will draw a 5, 6, 7, or 8 for the inversion for the second race. The remainder of the field for the second race will be lined-up per the driver finishes in the first race.
Any Modified, Limited Sportsman, Mini Stock, or X-Treme driver who wins two races in a row will start at the rear of the field at the next race that the driver competes in. Should two or more Modified or Mini Stock drivers who have won two races in a row but one driver has missed his or her next racing event, the most recent two race winner will start ahead of the next to the most recent race winner.
The starting at the rear of the field rule will not be waived for the month of September. 7. The spotters stand is located below the tower in the grandstand. One spotter per car will be allowed on the top of trucks in the infield during practice sessions only. A spotter is mandatory in the spotters stand during the nights racing events. Only spotters for cars in the division that is running at that time will be allowed on the spotters stand. No one will be allowed on top of tow trucks or trailers during feature race events. No banners will be allowed to be displayed on the top of any trailer or tow truck during the feature events. 8. All cars must come to the starting grid under their own power, unless otherwise directed by a track official. When the first car comes to the starting grid, a time limit of three minutes will be set for the rest of the field to line up. Cars not on the track at the end of the three minute time limit will start in the rear of the field for that race.
9. All Restarts will be single file for all regular divisions. When the green flag is displayed passing may be only on the right side until passing the starters stand On restarts, the leader may start the race once he/she has reached the white line at the mid-point of turns 3 & 4. The leader will be required to maintain an acceptable minimum/maximum speed leading up to the start of the race. When the green flag is displayed cars may pass to the right. Any car that jumps the start will be penalized. There will be a minimum of a black flag/stop and go penalty for jumping the start. 10. Ten Lap-Five Lap Rule: If the caution flag is displayed during the last TEN LAPS of a LMSC feature race there will be a single file restart. Cars will restart in the order in the order in which there were running at the time of the caution, with lead lap cars restarting in the front of lapped cars. Modified, Limited Sportsman, Mini Stock and Xtreme will follow the same procedure for the last FIVE laps. 11. All cars that are involved in an accident that causes a caution or red flag will restart the race at the rear of the field. If one lap is not complete, those cars involved will restart at the rear of the field in the order that they were listed in the original starting line-up. Any car that goes in the pits during the caution or red flag period will restart at the rear of the field. 12. ONLY TRACK PERSONNEL ARE ALLOWED ON THE RACE TRACK while the race is in progress. Any pit crewmember in violation of this rule will be subject to a fine and/or disciplinary action. 13. Any driver, car owner, or pit crewmember who leaves their pits to go to another driver’s pits during or after a race and engages in any unsportsmanlike behavior will be subject to fines, and or suspension, and or disqualifications. A driver is responsible for the conduct of his car owner and or crewmember. 14. There will be no repair or service to any car that is on the track, unless directed to do so by a NASCAR official. 15. Any car bringing out the caution flag (unassisted) three (3) times or who is running at a slow speed considered dangerous to the other competitors by the race director will be sent to the pits for the remainder of the race. 16. Should a driver not heed the black flag in three (3) laps, a caution will be thrown for that driver. That driver will then be sent to the pits for the remainder of the event and may be subject to fines and or suspension. If there is not enough laps left in the event and the driver does not heed the black flag the driver will be penalized. 17. No Car on the track may receive any assistance after the white flag has been displayed. 18. Should the caution flag or the red flag be displayed after the white flag has been displayed, the lap will not be completed, and there will be a restart with a green/white/checkered finish. Under no circumstances do you race back to the checkered flag. 19. If the red flag is displayed, all cars on the track at that time must stop and stay in position until the yellow flag is displayed. Cars that are towed to the pits after the accident may receive service during the red flag period. Cars already in the pit area when the red flag is initially displayed may receive service during the red flag period. 20. The top three (3) finishing cars will report to the scales immediately AFTER VICTORY LANE INTERVIEWS AND CEREMONIES. 21. Car weights after race: cars will be allowed 1/2 pound per green flag lap in your feature event for fuel burn off, or 1/2 pound per green flag lap in the final segment of a multi-segment feature race for fuel burn off. 22. Any driver who intentionally causes a caution flag (yellow flag) condition will receive a minimum 1 lap penalty. 23. In all races over 100 laps in distance caution laps will count. 24. All competitors may be required to furnish a scorer for races over 100 laps in length.
